In pursuit of life, safety and good health

We are a Māori Health Service Provider, contracted by the Ministry of Health and DHB, delivering Home and Community based support services to people who have been assessed as requiring support in their own homes.

Who We Are

“WHAIORA”, loosely translated, means “in pursuit of, or the search for: life; safety; and good health.”

We believe that the elderly, our Kaumatua and Kuia, and people with a physical, intellectual, sensory, or age-related disability (or a combination of these), have a right to remain in their own homes, with support, for as long as they wish.

Our service objective is to deliver services to Māori and non-Māori clientele in a way that respects their needs, their culture, and the individual maintenance of dignity, independence and self esteem. We also complement and support the family/whanau in the provision of care.
